Let’s get twisted! Originally released as our late summer MKAL and the fourth pattern in our year of Mystery Knit Along’s, this long, crescent shaped shawl is knit in a single color of luxurious, fingering weight yarn. Beading is optional, but a great introduction to using beads. Pattern is fully written and charted.

Once again our friends at Stunning String Studio are offering “Twisted Haze” yarn kits including beads, stitch markers, and yarn in your choice of colors.

The MKAL discussions will be in the Wild Prairie Knits group, so come and join us.

This pattern is knitCompanion® supported. What does that mean?

Details:
Skills: Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, ssk) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained in detail as we go along. We will be offering a good introduction to lace and how to knit with beads.

Yarn: Stunning String Ephemeral (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk; 600 yds (549 m), 150 grams) or any fingering weight yarn: 600 yds (549 m).

Recommendations: Pattern was written with solid/semi-solid colors in mind. Variegated or highly tonal yarns will lose some pattern definition.

Needles US 8 (5.0 mm) 42” (107 cm) circular needle, or size required to obtain gauge.

Gauge 18 stitches & 24 rows per 4” (10cm) in unblocked stockinette stitch. Although gauge is not critical, it will affect overall size and yarn requirements.

Other Stitch Markers
Optional: 325 Seed Beads 6/0 & crochet hook US 10-14 (1.25 - 0.75 mm) or size that will fit your bead. If you prefer, you may use Super Floss or a beading tool to apply the beads.
