Two at a Time From The Toe
A great basic pattern with 45+ minutes of follow-along videos for how to knit a pair of socks at the same time from the toe-up using the magic loop method.
With this basic go-to stockinette sock, I cover each step in detail, with close-up videos showing exactly what to do and how to knit using the magic loop. An enduring go-to pattern for fun sock knitting with no heel flaps or second sock to worry about. With these basics, you can modify all you want for your second pair!
Or, easily follow along with the video tutorials for working a different toe-up sock pattern, a pair at a time.
videos covering:
- magic loop technique for 2 socks
- Turkish cast-on for the toe
- step by step heel instructions with wrap and turn short rows
- trick for even cuff ribbing
- my favorite stretchy bind-off
Yarn: approximately 250-430 yards or 228-393 meters fingering weight yarn. Shown in 4 mini-skeins of Fjordmade Self-Striping Cupcakes. One regular skein of Fjordmade fingering yarn with get you a pair of socks+.
Needles: US 1.5 /2.50mm circular needle with 32+ inch cable (I prefer 40 inch) needle for magic loop method.
Notions: 5 stitch markers, tapestry needle.
