The long winter nights are ideal for knitting, and here’s a sock pattern that isn’t complicated, but has enough visual interest to be a fun, short knit.

I couldn’t decide which interplay of colours I liked the most, so this pattern has both of the charts, and you can mix & match to your heart’s content.

Although this pattern is written for double pins, cuff-down, you can work it on circular needles, and toe-up.

The pattern is written for 72 sts, worked on 2.5 mm/US 1.5 needles, but you can go up or down, depending on the yarn you use. I used a light sport weight yarn, but this pattern would be fine in a heavier fingering weight.
