This scarf is designed to use one entire Caron Cake. I use a new stitch that uses a v-stitch, and combines post stitches in a dc2tog. The result is some fabulous texture on both sides of the scarf developed all at once.

Knowledge of the following stitches is beneficial:

  • Foundation Double Crochet
  • Chainless Starting Double Crochet
  • Front Post & Back Post Double Crochet
  • Double Crochet 2 Together

If you are new to crochet, there are links to educational videos available and I have included a photo tutorial of the unique stitch.

This pattern was designed to use an entire Caron Cake. You can try it with other cake-type yarns but you might have different results due to varying lengths of the cakes, or you will need a second cake.
