The Two-Step Knit cowl is an easy but fun cowl to work up. Alternating stripe patterns keep the pattern from being boring without the attention required for complicated color work.

Let your imagination run wild with color combinations for either two or three colors (or more if you do more repeats!). Use up languishing single skeins from your stash or use this as the perfect excuse to get that squishy new yarn.

The cowl comes in three sizes for three different weights of yarn. Gauge, needle sizes, and yardage requirements for all sizes are listed below. Yards per color are calculated for the two color cowls. Naturally a three or more color cowl will have different yardage requirements. Each additional repeat will require an additional yds per color total split across the colors.

A very special thank you to all my testers whose color visions took this cowl beyond what I had originally considered myself. Testers are the heart of new patterns.

Each pattern purchase comes with 4 versions of the pattern: A single column pattern with photos, a double columns mobile-friendly version with photos, a large-print version with photos, and a printer friendly version with zero photos. Happy crafting!
