This is more-or-less the same pattern as my chunky hat, but for those of us who have left-over DK from other projects that they’d like to use up. Intended to be done on circular needles with double-pointed at the top, but at the end there are instructions for knitting flat and doing a seam if you prefer that. Have a look, it’s free!
