Mad Angel Creations “Tyger Tyger Burning Bright” is a simple, textured scarf with a gently undulating diamond pattern, elegant and lovely.

Any fingering weight yarn will do, as will any color. This design was created with a “Safari” theme in mind, and WIPYarns cashSOCK, Pumpkin Spice colorway, captured exactly the kind of “tigerish” look I wanted.

Since this is a scarf, gauge is not terribly important, BUT I do not recommend a “loosey-goosey” type fabric. You will want it to be fairly tight, yet loose enough to drape while holding its shape. US size 3 needles work best for me, but might not for you. Play with needle sizes and swatches until you find the fabric that YOU like best.

I only had 25 yards of yarn left after following my directions to the letter. If you are afraid of running out of yarn or just desire more length, buy a second skein of the WIPYarns cashSOCK, or substitute a different fingering weight yarn with more yardage per skein.

Both written directions and chart for the pattern motif are included.

Happy knitting, and please share photos!
