All profits from the sale of this pattern through July 15, 2020 will be donated to the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, in honor of George Floyd Like many of us, I was horrified by the tragic murder of George Floyd. Out of the protests that followed, the slogan that especially resonated with me was “All Mothers Were Summoned When He Called Out For His Mama,” and so, I would like to support Black mothers through the sale of this pattern. The Black Mamas Matter Alliance is an organization which introduces and advances policy grounded in the human rights framework that addresses Black maternal health inequity and improves Black maternal health outcomes.

This Aran-style blanket is knit in sequential panels at the same time.

While this is intended to be a baby blanket, you can easily turn it into an adult-sized throw blanket by knitting to twice the length called for in the pattern (this will take approximately four 300g skeins of Bernat Blanket).

When using the yarn called for in the pattern, I strongly suggest using a low friction, nickel-plated needle such as an Addi Turbo.

Gauge is 16 sts and 24 rows = 7”x7” in the chevron pattern.

This pattern has been test knit.
