These mittens were designed after my friend Carol, who owns a lovely tea house on Prince Edward Island, Canada, called Tyne Valley Tea House, requested mittens with lupins on them. She has a field of beautiful lupins at her place, and they’re a favourite flower, as well as being often associated with PEI.
I have made them in only one size so far, a sort of large women’s/small men’s size. To adjust, you could knit with a larger or smaller gauge yarn, and appropriate needles.
I used half a skein each of my two colours to knit two mittens.
