Diamonds made of Mohair – Evening Lace Stole

The error in the chart found by GreenDarner has been corrected. Thanks again.

As every lace fabric, this simple (suitable for beginners) but elegant evening stole is light and airy. The composition of 56% mohair, 30% polyamide and 14% wool makes the yarn very fluffy and extremely stable. The knitting pattern itself is mainly comprised of two different diamonds for the main body and an ornamental edge for the stole endings.

Features

  • worked in lace patterns using simple increasing and decreasing techniques
  • main body accentuated by ornamental edges

The Pattern

  • is fully charted (no written instructions row by row) and
  • includes photo tutorials illustrating used techniques.

What you will learn (if not already familiar with it):

  • how to work a blind seam (joining with a mock knit row) and
  • how to knit an asymmetrical ornamental border.

Finished Measurements

~ 75“ / 190 cm long, 12“ / 30 cm wide

Material

  • Yarn: DROPS Vivaldi – 3.6 oz / 100 g = 612 yd / 560 m (color 07 = white; discontinued)
  • US 6 / 4 mm needles
  • Tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends and to join pieces
