This is the Ulla sweater knitted in linen yarn, you can for example knit with 3 strings of Bockens Linen yarn 16/1 hold together. I have knitted the linen version after the same instructions and with the same needle sizes as the woolen version in this knitting pattern.

The Ulla sweater has a shape that follows the figure and flares out over the hips, with wide sleeves ending in a high ribb at the bottom of the sleeves. The Ulla sweater is knitted with a twist on twined knitting so that there are no long thread floats on the back of the knitwear. The thread that is not being knitted with is carried along on the back by picking up the thread you are knitting with every other time from the right and left sides of the thread you are not knitting with.

I have knitted the body and sleeves up to the sleeve holes and put stitches on a thread to shape round sleeve holes under the sleeves. Then I put the body and sleeves on a circular needle and knitted round and round, knitting stitches together both to shape the sleeve holes further up and decrease stitches for the sleeve cap. I knitted the top of the sleeve separately back and forth, and then knitted stitches together from the sleeve cap with the shoulder section as I finished knitting it. In other words, the sleeves are knitted in and not sewn in.

The Ulla sweater is knitted in Symre from Telespinn (telespinn.no) Symre (80% young goat mohair / 20% Norwegian lambswool NKS), S242 Deep pink, S330 Sea green: 2-strands, 150 m per 50 g
