There’s nothing quite like a prairie sunset. As the sun sinks, the sky is lit up with some of the most vibrant colours nature has to offer, while the earth turns into a labyrinth of long, reaching shadows. Umbra is a simple, delicate design worked primarily in garter stitch, giving the piece a squishy coziness perfect for these crisp prairie evenings. Slipped stitches are used to create decorative lines which radiate from the top edge, reminiscent both of the vanishing rays of the setting sun and the long, dramatic shadows it casts as they stretch ever longer.
