Umma means ‘mother’ in Korean, and the cape will feel like a mother’s embrace. Umma is also the mother of the Nabi and Narae patterns, which both feature the criss-cross detail across the front. Umma cape is worked top-down, beginning with the neckline. Stitches are then picked up under the ribbing to create the iconic cross opening at the front, followed by increases around the shoulders and short rows for shaping.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
Umma Cape is categorized as difficult.
