The Una Sweater is the first sweater pattern I’ve published. Una is the Filipino word for “First”; a very apt name for my first sweater pattern. And now, after a lot of encouragement, I have graded the pattern for kids sizes for ages 1—12. It has been an exciting journey and the learning curve was definitely great. This would be the first kids pattern I have written and I am very excited to share it with you all.

The sweater is worked seamlessly top-down, starting from the neck band and then working short rows for the neck shaping . After which the raglan increases form the body and the sleeves. The sleeves are held on waste yarn while the body is knitted. The sleeves are then picked up and knit down. The sweater features a corrugated Mock rib stitch pattern in 2 colours across the body and sleeves. It is a very versatile design intended to be a unisex sweater pattern.
