El chal Under The Trees está inspirado en la filosofía de marca de Urth Yarns, quienes colaboran con la plantación de un árbol por cada madeja que venden.
He querido representar en el chal elementos como los bosques, los árboles que dan cobijo y las hojas que se mecen con el viento.

El Under The Trees es un chal triangular
que se teje de arriba a abajo en el que se trabajan vueltas cortas alemanas para romper la forma tradicional de este tipo de chales.
Las primeras secciones trabajan una textura con puntos deslizados que representan la densidad del bosque. En la sección 6 se trabaja un calado que evoca las hojas de los árboles. Ambos, textura y calado, son muy sencillos de seguir.
Finalmente, el cierre en picot le da un toque muy especial. Deseo que disfrutes tejiéndolo tanto como yo.

Lana: Urth Yarns Simply Merino: 100% extrafine superwash merino 400m/100g. 2 madejas en color Teal.
Tensión: Después de bloquear: 22 puntos * 32 pasadas en 10cm en punto jersey con aguja de 4mm.
Agujas y otros materiales
● Agujas circulares de 4mm o de la medida necesaria para obtener la tensión con cable de 80cm.
● Agujas de 5mm, o de 1mm superior a la usada para tejer el chal, para el cierre.
● 4 marcadores.
● Aguja lanera.
● Bases de bloqueo y alfileres.
Medidas finales: 180cm de largo y 68cm de alto

Under The Trees shawl is inspired by Urth Yarns brand’s philosophy, who help plant a tree for each skein they sell. I wanted to represent on the shawl elements such as forests, trees that provide shelter and leaves that sway in the wind.
Under The Trees is a top down shawl. German short rows are used to break the traditional shape of these kind of shawls.
Firsts sections are worked with a slipped stitches texture that represent the density of the forest. In section 6 there is a lace that evokes the leaves of the trees. Both, texture and lace, are very easy to follow. Finally, the picot bind off gives it a very special touch.
I wish you enjoy knitting it as much as I did.
Yarn: Urth Yarns Simply Merino: 100% extrafine superwash merino 437yards (400m)/100g. 2 skeins in color Teal.
Gauge: After blocking: 22 sts * 32 rows in 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch with US6 (4mm) needles.
Needles and notions
● US6 (4mm) circular needles or the size to obtain the correct gauge with 32” (80cm)
● US8 (5mm) or 2 sizes (1mm) bigger than the used to knit the shawl to Bind Off.
● Yarn needle.
● 4 markers.
● Blocking pins and mats.
Finished Measurements: 70”/180cm wingspan and 26”/68cm in the widest point
