Due to a childhood incident I have an unbelievable fear of being under water.
Once diving is out of question I still enjoy sitting on the beach and staring at the waves. These socks are a bit of a dream come true in a way…
looking into depths of the sea but remaining above the surface.

About
The lace panels look like air bubbles going up and the colours remind me of the sand and water that can be seen under the waves.

The pattern
The pattern features instructions for both
- toe up and cuff down methods of sock construction with charts and written instructions.

Sizes
The pattern is written for 3 different sizes / stitch counts to achieve different circumferences, but you can always adapt it to a smaller or larger number of stitches. The knitter will determine themselves how long to knit the foot and leg.

Yarn and needles
Use your favourite sock yarn, I recommend wool and nylon blends in fingering weight for durability, the sample was knit using 2.5mm/US1.5 needle, but you can use smaller one if you knit loosely or want a tighter gauge.

Heel
The heel pattern - fish lips kiss heel needs to be purchased separately on Ravelry (1$).
You can use any short row heel, afterthought heel or even heel flap (instructions not included in the pattern).
