Walking along the ocean on a cold wet day is truly one of the great joys of living on the west coast. The salty mist in the air clings to wool, highlighting its ethereal haze, and reminds me why I love hand knits. The sound of the waves and the pull of the water emphasizes the natural ebb and flow of life and time and change. Undercurrent mimics the elegant patterns left in the sand by the movement of these unstoppable tides.

Undercurrent Hat is a lovely worsted-weight hat that can be worn on either side to reveal beautifully different patterning. Worked bottom-up in the round, with nothing more difficult than increases and decreases, it will fly off your needles. Written in 5 sizes, from baby to adult large, you can easily knit up matching hats for your whole family (and truly, who doesn’t love matchy-matchy knits?!).
