The Unexpected Angles sweater was designed in response to the third Fiber Factor challenge. I provide notes on how I made a size XL (short), but not other sizes.

I used eight skeins of the Kenzie yarn, plus less than 50 g of a contrasting yarn of similar gauge (a deep eggplant handspun).

The pattern uses an Estonian vikkel braid, notes provided.

The lower body and sleeves are worked on the slant, following some ideas in cowls I’ve made - directions are also provided for the cowls.

The design in the upper body was inspired in part by a Finnish tablet weaving book.
