The Unicardi is a super fluffy cardigan, created with one strand of Aran weight yarn held with one strand of lace weight mohair (or anything similar).

Sweater is to be worn with 6 inches of positive ease. Model is a size 34” and wearing the M (40”) size.

Special Techniques:

-In order to achieve the “fluffy” look, the Loop Stitch is implemented throughout the entire Unicardi.

-3-Needle Bind off technique is used to seam the shoulders.

SIZES: S/32” (38”), M/34” (40”), L/36” (42”). Sweater sizes are created with 6 inches of positive ease.

GAUGE: 12 stitches and 12 rows per 4” (10 cm) in Loop Stitch (after blocking).

NEEDLES: DPNS & One 40” circular needle in size needed to achieve gauge listed above (suggested size: US 11/8mm).

MATERIALS USED: Manos Wool Clasica (Aran; 100% wool; 138 yds/100 g, or any other yarn that knits up to desired gauge/ Plus hedgehog fibres kidsilk Lace (70% GOAT MOHAIR, 30% SILK; 459 YDS/50 G)

YARDAGE: (4, 4, 5) skeins (552, 690 yds)/ (2, 2, 3) skeins (918/1377 yds)

OTHER NOTIONS: stitch markers, tapestry needle and scrap yarn/stitch holder.

-Body Circumference: 38”, 40”, 42” (Sweater is written to be worn with 6” positive ease).
