What’s this: These are the Unicorn Dream socks.

Why should I make these: Well for one, CROCHET SOCKS. Plus the stitch is super elastic, the afterthought heel is extra comfy & you can replace it if it gets too worn.

When will they get the most use: When you want to feel magical.

Who are they for: Just about anyone! Available sizes : Small (shoe W4-6), Medium (W7-9/M6-8), Large (W10-12/M9-11)

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate - you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches. You will need 100g of fingering weight sock yarn (used here, Tricote-la) and a 3,5mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.

Qu’est-ce que c’est ? Ce sont les bas Unicorn Dream, ou rêve de licorne, ma participation à la 11e Guerre des Mailles du Collectif Francrochet.

Pourquoi je les aime tant ? Parce que ce sont des bas au crochet, avec un point remarquablement élastique et un talon douillet de type ‘afterthought’ – donc remplaçable lorsque trop usé !

Quand seront-ils utiles ? Quand vous voudrez vous sentir magique !

À qui s’adresse ce modèle ? À tout l’monde ! Voici les tailles disponibles : Petit (soulier F4-6), Moyen (F7-9/H6-8), Grand (F10-12/H9-11)

Je commence où ? Modèle Intermédiaire – vous devez être confortable avec les mailles de base (ou avoir envie d’apprendre le crochet). Vous aurez besoin de 100g de laine à bas de poids ‘fingering’ (ici, Tricote-la, coloris éphémère Rêve de licorne) & d’un crochet 3,5 mm. Vous aurez aussi besoin d’une aiguille à laine et de marque-points.
