✨ Proof that unicorns are real (and cozy)

The Unicorn from my Fairy Tale Cowl Series! It’s worked from the top down, which means no seams (yay!), and it’s a quick project sure to please any cowl wearer.

Instructions for an optional neck insert keep things warm during the coldest months, and it’s sized from 1 year to adult.

✨ What makes it work

• Top down. No seams to sew.
• Stuffed horn. A little fiberfill or yarn scraps give it shape.
• Optional neck insert. Extra warmth for the coldest months.
• Family sizing. 1 to 3 years through teen/adult.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: approx. 250 yds. Shown in Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, Lion Brand in Blossom and Fisherman (3 skeins) · Vanna’s Choice, Lion Brand for the optional neck insert in Dusty Rose, Dusty Purple, Silver Blue, Fern, Mustard and Scarlet
• Hook: M/N (9mm) · H (5mm) for the optional neck insert
• Tools: Sewing needle · Scissors · Stitch Marker · A little fiberfill or yarn scraps to stuff the horn

✿ Sizes

• 1 to 3 years (4 to 7 years, 8 to 12 years, teen/adult)
• Hood opening, top to bottom: 10 (11, 12, 13)“
• Hood depth: 9 (10, 11, 12)“
• Total length: 16 (17, 18, 18)“

• Gauge: 8 sts and 4 rows = 4” x 4” with the 9mm hook · gauge help
