The leg of these socks are knitted in the round and, after the heel shaping, there is a switch to knitting flat, back and forth for the intarsia design on the foot. This continues to the toe when the instep and sole stitches are bound off simultaneously or grafted together. Finally, the foot of the sock is sewn up.

Approximately 70g of main colour, 20g of first contrast (white) and 25g of second contrast (red) are required, for an average sized adult sock. The length of the foot can be easily adapted.
