ABOUT THE PATTERN
Congratulations, you are now going to knit a garment that can last for generations. The Unn sweater has a graphic pattern that is both timeless and modern. It is also knit in genuine Norwegian wool, which means it can be worn for a long time and only get better and better if treated correctly. The inspiration for the pattern is taken from a wall tapestry hanging at the University Hospital in Tromsø - hence the name Unn. The sweater is knit from the bottom up. You start with ribbing, then switch to knitting the rest of the sweater based on the chart. When the body is finished, divide the yoke so that you knit the front and back separately. Set aside stitches for the neck, and knit the shoulders together with three needles (you can find good instructional videos on cast-off methods on YouTube). The neck is also knit in pattern, and it is also knit double so that it is both sturdy and warm. Pick up stitches for the sleeves, and knit them based on the chart.

SIZES: XS/S (M/L) XL/XXL

GAUGE: 14 STITCHES / 18 ROWS = 1010 CM
Remember to knit a gauge swatch before starting. If you have too many stitches per 10 cm, try using a larger needle size, if you have too few stitches, switch to a smaller needle size. The sweater is knit based on the number of rounds/rows, not cm. If the gauge is incorrect, both the length and width will be affected.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
6 mm (circular needle 60 cm + optional double-pointed needles if not using magic loop) for ribbing
7 mm (circular needles 40 cm, 80 cm and optional double-pointed needles if not using magic loop)
