Unzipped were designed to look as if the front of the socks were zipped up by using wrapped stitches to achieve the appearance of the zipper’s teeth, while the back of the socks look as if they are being unzipped, using purls to achieve this effect. The inspiration behind these socks were the thought that even though we try and keep our lives all contained and zipped up away from the outside worlds eye, slowly our life spills out as our package we’ve put our life into, unzips- no matter how hard we try.
