I try to wear something handmade every single day, no matter the season. Knitwear is typically thought of as cold-weather gear, but sometimes I want to wear something handmade because I’m proud of it, because it’s uplifting to make something practical and beautiful and to show it it off. Uplift is a lightweight, lacy cowl, intended to fill the wearer with positive vibes and lifted spirits, while sprucing up any outfit and keeping the chill off of your neck and chest. Think breezy summer nights, beach vacations, and early morning walks. This won’t be your warmest cowl, but hopefully it will be your most uplifting!

A simple lace cowl knit in the round, Uplift’s chevron pattern is created using simple. common elements of lace knitting with soothing stockinette every other row.

This pattern will work with a variety of yarn weights and exact gauge is not necessarily required for this project. Swatch to make sure you like the drape of the fabric and the size of the yarn overs.

This pattern is suitable for adventurous beginners, and will work with a variety of yarn weights and combinations and exact gauge is not required for this project. Instructions are included for how to modify the width of the cowl.

This pattern includes written instructions and a chart, and has been fully test knitted and professionally tech edited! Small mistakes may still have slipped by us, so if you have any trouble or spot any problems please email me as soon as possible at KaceyKnits@gmail.com and include the pattern name in the subject!
