This ruana-style open cardigan is designed to be oversized; select the finished size that is about 10 inches larger than your bust measurement. It is knit starting at the lower back. It continues seamlessly over the shoulders and down each side of the front. Cap sleeves are created by increases at the center of the back. The bottom edges are created by an I-cord bindoff. An I-cord along the side edges adds stability and the sides are partially seamed. The fronts can be left open, closed with a shawl pin, or closed with an optional button closure.
