This is the tank you knit over and over because it goes with everything and competes with nothing. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s a relatively fast knit, something we all love especially in those warmer months. A racer-esque style tank that’s great for light and breathable yarns. Just add sunscreen.

  • pullover
  • sleeveless
  • i-cord edge finishing

The Uri Tank is knit topdown. The front neck is worked back and forth flat on circular needles then the back neck is linked on at the shoulders and also worked back and forth flat. The two are joined at the underarm and worked in the round til your desired length

Stockinette Stitch is a basic stitch that creates a smooth even fabric. On the flat it’s made by alternating rows of knit and purl stitches. In the round it’s made by only knit stitches.

I-cord (of the “idiot-cord” coined by Elizabeth Zimmermann) is a tube of knitting created by working a small amount of stitches in the round. This pattern uses the I-cord bind off to finish the neck, armholes and hem however you can use any type of finishing you desire!
