A slouched beanie hat with Fair Isle inspired colourwork.
Skills required: Knitting in the round, stranded colourwork, using a colourwork chart.
You will need:
1 skein Snældan 2ply Midnight Blue (MC)
1 skein Snældan 2ply Fleece White (CC)*
3mm circular needle (60cm) and/or set of 3mm dpns
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 22st and 34 rnds= 10cm in well blocked stocking stitch
Sizing: S/M: 52cm circumference (to fit 56-58cm) M/L: 55.5 cm circumference (to fit 59-61cm)
Notes on fit: Sample shown is the S/M size worn by model with head
circumference of 57cm.
Undyed skeins of Snaeldan 2ply such as that used as the contrast colour here come in 100g skeins (360m), but you will not need all of this. If using one of the dyed shades, the 180m in a 50g skein will be sufficient.
