Utukka
Five skein poncho.
Utukka is done by basic stockinette stitch and evenly added yarn over loops making it look like ful of tiny butterflys.
You knit one long rectangular piece and sow one side partly together to make it a poncho.
For this pattern you need to knit, purl, do yarn over and knit three together. And do a little sowing.
YARN & YARDAGE
Drops’s Brushed Alpaca Silk 125 g = 765 yards / 700m
(25 g = 153 yards / 140 meters).
Colorway is number 1.
Or use any other similar aran weight yarn of 765 yards / 700 m.
NEEDLE
Size US 4 / 3,5 mm needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain pattern gauge.
KNITTING
Utukka is worked flat from bottom up.
FINISHED SIZE
Blocked size before sowing is approximately 23” x 59” / 58 x 150 cm. Remember that blocking is essential to a successful result.

k3tog = knit three together
