Variegated + fairisle = Vairisle!

A stranded colourwork beanie hat in a solid-colour yarn and a variegated yarn, to mimic the shifting shades of traditional Fairisle knits, without all the ends to weave in at the end. Knit in the round, featuring short row ear flaps that are incorporated into the brim, with a fairisle crown.

The brim is is a written pattern and includes a link showing you how to do the german short rows. The crown section is then charted.

’Vairisle (A Cowl)’ is also available in my Rav store.

Pattern is for a 23” head - going down a needle size or two should create a hat to fit a 21” head. I have not tested this out, so make no guarantees.
