The Valby Vest is knit top-down using a dropped shoulder construction. To do this, stitches are first cast on for the back piece, then short rows are worked. After that, the shoulders are knit before all pieces are joined in the round. For the collar and the armholes, stitches are picked up and worked afterward. The cable patterns consist exclusively of cables made of four stitches each. These cables are arranged differently, resulting in various patterns. This pattern is therefore ideal for knitters who want to learn how to knit cables. But also suitable for experienced knitters, as the arrangement of the cables keeps the knitting interesting.
The vest is constructed with a positive ease of 15–25 cm. If you want a different fit, choose a different size accordingly.
