The Vale Cardigan is a feminine, softly fitted cardigan worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. Delicate details such as the subtle waist shaping, flared sleeves, and applied i-cord edging give the piece a refined yet effortless feel.

The cardigan is worked top down, starting with the back, shaped with short rows, and is worked down to the underarm. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders to form the front panels, which are shaped separately before joining the body. Sleeves are worked from picked-up stitches around the armhole and shaped to create a flare effect.

Designed to be worn with little to no positive ease for a closer fit, or with additional ease for a softer silhouette.
Worked with a main yarn held together with a lightweight textured yarn, though the cardigan can also be made with a single DK-weight yarn.
