Don’t get intimidated by the look of the whole cables on the back! It is merely the combo of simple cables and ribs. You can even replace some for your favorite ones, if you want.

Valencia orange tee is knitted from the top down with raglan shoulders seamlessly. It starts with provisional CO, working back and forth, and then stitches are cast on and joined for working in the round.

Each cable and rib are simple and fun to knit, I guarantee you will never be bored! The center round cable in bright orange color reminds me of Valencia oranges, so I named it after this. While the front has simple ribs in the center.

The sleeves and the neck are decorated with corrugated ribs in different color.

The pattern is fully charted for each size.

Variations

  • long or 3/4 sleeve
  • longer body like a tunic
  • cowl neck
  • crew neck, etc.

It is designed to be worn with 0-1” positive ease.

Malabrigo worsted yarn is soft and easy to work with, I highly recommend this yarn, but any worsted or aran weight should work just as fine. The gauge was actually 16 sts x 25 rows. It grew a bit after blocking, so the gauge is 15 sts x 24 rows FYI.
