Valin Scarf

The Valin Scarf is a triangle scarf, knit sideways from tip to tip and worked entirely in double knitting, the scarf looks the same on both sides, making it easy to wear and style. An opening is placed at a specific point, allowing one end to be passed through to secure the scarf.
Gauge / With 4.5 mm (US 7) needle:
20 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking. (This is provided for knitters to make a swatch and to use it as a guideline when selecting yarn)
38 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4” worked in double knitting.

Length: 116 (128, 146) cm / 45.75 (50.5, 57.5)”
The solid-color version is knitted in size 3.
Yarns:
One strand of light fingering weight yarn + one strand of mohair held together:
Majo Garn, Tweed Supreme. Color way: Tan. 100% Merino, 50g=350m/382yds.
A total of 1 (1, 1.2) balls of yarn were used. Approx. 210 (320, 420) m/230 (350, 458) yds
Majo Garn, Peal Mohair. Color way: Almond. 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 23g=210m/229yds.
A total of 1 (1.5, 2) balls of yarn were used. Approx. 210 (320, 420) m/230 (350, 458) yds
The striped version is knitted in size 2:
Yarn:
MAJO GARN, PUNO FINE, 54% Cotton, 39% Alpaca, 7% Merino
, 50g=125m/137yds.
Yarn amounts:
Soft grey (Light grey) x 90m; Rhapsody (Purple) x 115m; Slate (Dark
grey) x 115m
Needles:
Cast on using 4 mm (US 6) needles, then switch to 4.5 mm (US 7) needles to complete the scarf.
Other Materials:
Stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn.
