I designed these mittens for fun. I liked the idea of random snowflakes drifting through a dark and desolate wood, such as you find in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. Imagine barren trees and dry leaves underfoot and the first snowflakes of winter beginning to drift down.

Materials:

MC The March Hare wool silk blend 70% merino wool and 30% silk; 435yd/398m per 100g skein, 18 WPI, 1 skein color Victoria’s Ballgown – any true fingering weight yarn can be substituted.
