This is the next instalment in the double knit weight sock patterns I am bringing to you.
A simple low cut ribbed sock. But please note that you can easily make this into a longer sock by adding extra ribbing and leg rows, example will be given in the pattern, but this obviously will affect the meterage used, which is why the meterage goes up to 200 metres approx in the details.
For example, I used 150 metres for the vanilla shortie pattern for a UK size 5 shoe (US size 9 I believe).

So a little secret into me, I really hate SSK, it’s an irrational hatred I know, I mean, it’s only a knitting stitch. So I don’t use this stitch in my sock designs.

You can follow this pattern with either magic loop, DPN’s or mini circulars, or whichever method you prefer, you can do two at a time if it takes your fancy.
This pattern is customisable for the size you need. This can be determined by using a ruler, a sock ruler ( I use one from Yarnistry on Etsy + Facebook) or by using your ninja skills or try it on to see when you need to start the toes.

Like I said, it’s an easy pattern for DK socks, I’m hoping over time to bring you a whole range of DK sock patterns in one place, starting with the more simple patterns and increasing the levels of skill needed :) I hope you have fun joining us on the journey.

Please note, I am dyslexic, I do have my patterns tested by multiple knitters and proof read, but sometimes things can slip through the net, if you find anything wrong, please don’t hesitate to contact me so I can amend it for everyone
Happy Knitting!
