The Vanya Cowl, made with lace weight yarn, is named after the character Vanya Hargreeves from the superhero show The Umbrella Academy. Vanya is an extremely fragile person, but is the most powerful of all her siblings. This cowl is designed specifically to be light, airy, and add just a touch of pizazz to any summer outfit.

The Vanya Cowl is designed for lace weight yarn, but feel free to experiment with different yarn weights such as fingering, sport, and DK! This pattern is worked flat from the bottom up, then seamed to create a loop. You can easily increase or decrease the depth of your finished project by adding/subtracting pattern repeats. You can also forgo seaming altogether and make a scarf!

This pattern uses approximately 400 yards of lace weight yarn.
