Vargur (Álafosslopi)
Vargur pattern is a simple design although not the traditional looking Icelandic wool sweater. Vargur lopapeysa is knitted with Álafosslopi, making Vargur sweater extra warm and cozy! Vargur pattern is now available in adult sizes in Álafosslopi and Léttlopi (Chunky and worsted, this one is the chunky version) as well as in kids sizes.
Vargur sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer.

Note that the pattern is knitted in the round, so it‘s good to knit the swatch in the round as well.
NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use a smaller needle size. I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
Note that if you need to knit a bigger width than the pattern offers, please contact me and I’ll help you calculate the width you need.
