Vargur (Léttlopi)
Vargur pattern is a simple and fun pattern to knit. Vargur lopapeysa doesn’t have the traditional Icelandic wool sweater look but I wanted to try something different. It’s now available in adult sizes for both Léttlopi and Álafosslopi (Worsted & Chunky, this is the worsted version) and in kids sizes.
Vargur sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round. A few of my test knitters did however knit their sweaters from top to bottom. As the pattern is easy to follow, you can simply start at the neck and follow it down if you prefer to knit top to bottom.
