The gourd is worked from the top down. The stem and vines are worked separately and sewn to the top of the gourd. These may be constructed in a complimentary color or in the same color, as you choose.
Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Sparkle works up slightly smaller than Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Solids. The size J hook is suggested for the sparkle yarn; the size K hook is suggested for the solid yarn.
