Materials:
5.5mm hook
Worsted (#5) weight velvet yarn - 50 yards - terracotta, green, brown, and purple
Polyfill - less than 0.5 oz
Scissors
Sewing needle

Notes:
This pattern creates a 7 inch long crocheted pot and cactus.
You can use whatever hook size you prefer to achieve tight stitches, but this may effect your overall size.
You will crochet the pot, the dirt/cactus, and the flower as 3 pieces.
This pattern has VERY LITTLE sewing: sewing the flower to the cactus.
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

Abbreviations & Terms - US Terminology:
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Sl St - slip stitch
Inc - increase - work 2 stitches in the same stitch
Dec - decrease - single crochet 2 stitches together
FPHDC - front post half double crochet - special stitch explained below
YO - yarn over
FLO - front loop only
R - round
St - stitch
* to * - repeat instructions between the * as many times as directed
( to ) - either special notes OR all stitches inside them go in the same stitch
- final stitch count in the row
FO - finish off

FPHDC - YO, insert hook around next stitch (from front to back to front), YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 4 loops on the hook
