A quick, delicate hat in beautiful lace - because if you still have to deal with the snow and cold, you should have something new and springy to remind you that warm weather is just around the corner.

Right?

Venetian Cup features a dense garter, cable, and lace pattern with lovely lines and twisted cables. The hat is begun with a simple brim and finished off with a star design on the crown, and will feel fresh and new with your heavy coat this week, but will work equally well with a denim or lightweight jacket when the temps start to turn.

I designed this in Magpie Fiber’s Solstice yarn, but the mYak was on my desk for fall sweater swatching, and I thought it might look nice in the lace, and I just couldn’t resist a working up second hat once I finished the first.

I loved both. The Solstice creates a denser, squishier fabric and the mYak is lighter and more delicate, but both are distinct and beautiful - hence the two samples, and the two pattern yarns!

And a little incentive: the Rav code Venetian will get you $1 off until 4/14/19!

mYak Medium hat shown in Dusty Pink. Note that you will need 1+ skeins of mYak for larger sizes.

Lace is both charted and written.

Please note that EOR marker shifts on some rounds, so pattern is suggested for intermediate to advanced lace knitters.
