The Venus Vest answers to the feminine in all of us. The pretty lace stripes run vertically on the body, echoed by the striping of the hand-painted yarn, flattering for any woman. The lace changes above the bustline to add extra interest around the neck and face, and the entire garment flows softly over the body.

The vest is worked by knitting the lower body from side to side without seams. Then stitches are picked up across the back and for each front bodice and worked up to the shoulders. Shoulder seams are joined and armhole edges are added. A few suggestions are given for front closures.

Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Instructions for size 1 (35” bust after blocking) to size 5 (53’ inch bust after blocking).
