Sizes: Small Child (Large Child, Average Adult, Large Adult) to fit an 18” (19.5”, 21.5”, 23”)/45.5 (49.5, 54.5, 58.5) cm head circumference.

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch on smaller needles, or size needed to obtain gauge and 2 sizes larger than gauge needles.

Notions: Small crochet hook (approximately size US E/4/3.5 mm) or 2 double-point needles that are 1 size smaller than the gauge needles (i.e. size US 2/2.75 mm), a tapestry needle, and a large party balloon (for blocking).

Techniques: Knitting in the round, basic increases and decreases, and crochet half-double crochet (for edging; optional. Can substitute applied I-cord for edging if preferred.)
