Versatile Cowl Neck Poncho or Dickie

This cowl neck dickie/poncho pattern can be adjusted to fit any size. I love the dickie for wearing under a coat without all of the bulk…or continue the pattern until the length you desire to create a gorgeous Poncho that will also keep your neck warm while being worn over your favorite top.

Pattern includes instructions for a simple but elegant trim for the dickie and poncho.

So versatile because you can make it your own with your choice of colors and length, with or without the trim…dickie or poncho or both…you decide.

The dickie uses about 9 oz. of yarn and the poncho uses about 1 lb. & 3 oz of yarn (more if you want to make it longer). For the dickie, follow the pattern for the length you like and add the trim if you like.

This pattern can be made using any worsted weight yarn and a size K/6.5 hook and is written in US terms.

For the poncho pictured you will need 1 skein of Caron Pounder in Medium Grey Mix and 1 skein of Red Heart Super Saver in white.
