This is a fun to knit cover for a 4 inch diameter ornament! Let the yarn do the work by using self striping yarn or variegated yarn!

This ornament cover can be knit in a fairly short time and uses less than 1 ounce (25 grams) of fingering / sock weight yarn.

There is some simple shaping to get the cover to go “vertical” instead of horizontal, and the pattern includes clear, step-by-step photo illustrations on how to do this.

Two version of the ornament cover is included in this pattern - a basic, stockinette stitch version and a textured version with purl stitch “ridges.”
