VESSST is an open front crocheted vest. The vest was designed for the members of El Segundo Slipt Stitchers for the last CAL of 2014. Suitable for both men and women, the pattern explores foundation double crochet, post stitches, extended double crochet, simple color work and simple decreases.

The pattern is sized chest sizes from 32” to 54.5”. The body is worked in worsted weight using extended double crochet stitches. Subtle stripes in the lower ribbing require a small amount of contrast yarn which reappears in the embroidered Guild name.

If you are experienced at crochet, you may wish to make the vest without side seams up to the armholes. Then work each front and the back separately.
