Vested Vase
This pattern creates a decorative cover for a vase of any size, using any yarn, at any gauge. This is a great project to cover and old vase you no longer love or make-over a thrifted find with stash or scrap yarn!
Please note that this pattern will work best for a traditionally shaped vase, with a distinct foot, shoulder, neck, and mouth as shown in the photos.
The pattern pdf contains a link to a Google spreadsheet where you can input your gauge measurements and dimensions of your vase to instantly create a pattern specific to your project.
The first sample is knitted holding three strands of lace weight yarn together knitted on US size 7 needles.
The second sample is knitted from a single strand of super bulky weight yarn knitted on US size 10 3/4 needles.
Pattern is worked from the bottom-up, in the round on double-pointed needles. For larger vases, circular needles may be necessary.
