Size: A (B) C (see schematic measurements on site).
Gauge: 22 stitches in 2 × 2 rib = 10 cm / 4 in after washing and blocking.
Suggested needles: 60 cm / 24 in circular needle or double-pointed needles 5 mm / US 8 for the collar, and optionally a 60 cm / 24 in circular needle or straight needles 5 mm / US 8 for the front and back pieces.
Difficulty level: This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners / intermediate knitters. You should be comfortable with: the long-tail cast-on, and working 2 × 2 rib both in the round and flat.
The pattern introduces: edge stitches, increases in 2 × 2 rib while maintaining the rib structure, and an Italian bind-off worked over double knitting.
Suggested yarn: 250 (300) 350 g Hjerte Alpaca from Hjertegarn (50 g / 167 m / approx. 182 yd), worked with 2 strands held together.

Vestedisse Light’ is a hybrid between a cowl and a vest. The design is worked in elastic 2 × 2 rib, creating a flexible and comfortable fit. The vest can be closed at the sides using “Sew-In Leather Snaps” (purple piece), the shorter “Removable Snaps Mini” for a closer fit (blue piece), or the slightly longer “Removable Leather Snaps” for a looser fit (white piece).
The garment is worked top-down with increases for saddle shoulders. Once the saddle shoulders are established, the work is divided into front and back pieces, which are worked flat separately. ‘Vestedisse Light’ is light and airy, knitted in soft alpaca, and works perfectly as an extra layer under a jacket on chilly days - or as a vest worn over a T-shirt, shirt, or dress.
