The Vicenza Cardigan is an elegant and richly textured garment that will be great for cooler autumnal days.

It is worked flat in Andalusian stitch and seamed together, with a round neckline and an optional contrasting cast-off edge. You will pick up the stitches for the button trim and the collar at the end.

There are five pieces in total: the back, the right front, the left front, and two sleeves. The cotton yarn emphasizes the waffle-like texture of the stitch, but other warmer yarns would also look fantastic.

The name of this cardigan is inspired by the Palladian Basilica in the northern Italian city of Vicenza, since the colour I used is so similar to that of the old copper roof there.

The pattern is currently available in English, German and French.
